High Achievers

 Would you like to boost young people’s confidence? Improve their fitness, coordination, focus and communication skills? Give them the opportunity to work with a renowned choreographer?
Then get involved in High Achievers, a new project run by DanceXchange (dx) that will give young disabled people with enthusiasm for dance the chance to develop their dance technique with dx’s Dance Artist in Residence, Rose Gordon – an experienced inclusive dance practitioner, and the opportunity to work with celebrated choreographer and dx Associate Artist, Rosie Kay, to create a performance based on her new piece, “Supernova.”

 

When: September to October 2008, 1 session per week for 6 weeks then 3 full days in half term

Where: At your centre or school and at DanceXchange // Birmingham Hippodrome // Thorp Street // B5 4TB

Who: Young people aged 14-25

Cost: £350 (to include five weekly sessions with DanceXchange’s Dance Artist in Residence, one taster session with Rosie Kay, and a three day intensive with Rosie Kay for nominated students that culminates in sharing for an invited audience)
