Hi Clare,

How are you? Hope you had a good Christmas and all! I wanted to let you know about a couple of projects Im working on at the moment, as they are happening in Leam & wanted to keep you in the loop.

The first thing is that Ive put in a funding application to do some research in April with some extremely talented local musicians and dancers. The research will be over two weeks to finish with a sharing in moo! The idea is that it will be seen more like a music gig & all artists will share their skills with each other and perform as equal characters in the piece. It would be great to hear you're thoughts or any advice you might have for me. All will be much appreciated!

The second thing is that Im running a movement class on a Monday night at the new Bath Place. It is a slightly different kind of class in that it draws on dance and yoga techniques & is more of a body conditioning/training. If you know anyone who might be interested then please pass on my details. My mob number is 07813785882. And of course let me know if you would like to come too. Class prices are; drop in £8/£7 students or £80 for a 12 class loyalty card with no restrictions or time limit.

Hope to see or speak to you soon

Skinner Releasing Technique (SRT) uses guided poetic imagery, gentle tactile hand studies and movement studies to enable creative exploration of technical principles such as multi-direction alignment, suppleness, suspension, economy and autonomy. Evolving from the simple principal that when we are releasing tension and habitual holding patterns we can move more freely, powerfully and articulately. Spontaneous movement is facilitated through engaging the imagination and involving the whole self to allow for a rich kinaesthetic experience.

Experienced dancers study alongside beginners, each working at their own rate. Skinner Releasing is a dance class for professionals, newcomers and beginners alike: all those interested in exploring their creativity through moving.

Florence Peake is a certified teacher of Skinner Releasing Technique, and has taught dance, performance and improvisation extensively at Independent Dance, DanceXchange in Birmingham, Dance Mission San Francisco, Academy for cultural studies in Riga Latvia, International Workshop Festival in London, Laban, The Circus Space and she now lectures at Coventry and Surrey University.

Florence a London based Dance Artist, creates work of an interdisciplinary nature. She has been creating her own work independently and in collaboration with other artists since 1998, which have been performed nationally and internationally.
