4iP is an innovation fund, created by Channel 4, to stimulate public service digital media across the UK. It supports great ideas for websites, games and mobile services which help people improve their lives. UnLtd and 4iP have teamed up to help individuals develop early stage digital media ideas and prototypes. Together they will build the skills, capabilities and partnerships to turn prototypes into social businesses.
The UnLtd 4iP scheme will be giving awards of up to £5,000 to help individuals from across the UK to turn their digital media project into a reality. 4iP will share its expertise in digital media and UnLtd will provide dedicated support including training opportunities, mentoring and access to resources to help individuals develop their skills and their projects.

The John Brabourne Awards

The John Brabourne Awards are a stepping stone for new talent driven to further their experiences and careers in all aspects of film and television. The awards also seek to help those disadvantaged in some way, either through lack of funds or set-backs due to illness or accident.
There are two types of award, the CTBF Awards and the Sponsored Awards.
• The CTBF Awards provide cash sums of between £1,000 and £5,000 to assist with training, rental of equipment, or the costs of travel, rent, bills or childcare.
• The Sponsored Awards offer new talent direct access to essential industry experience, through paid work experience at leading companies and/or access to training, equipment or materials, and in some cases a mentor.
Applications for the CTBF Cash Awards are invited until July 31st 2009. Sponsored Awards deadlines vary

Call up for digital training for youth workers and young leaders

Hi folks
We are running a training day for youth workers and young leaders interested in developing skills
In music beat making and photoshop/ graphic skills/ video editing and DJ’ing.

Its aimed at those with very little skills and its aimed at making it as easy as possible to get up and running.

Would any of your staff or partner organisations be interested in attending such a session.
It would be 5 hours in total and would include lunch.

ACP - New Media Project

We are running an art project for young people to express themselves about issue that are important to them! We would particularly like to here from young people who do not regard themselves as artistic.

 

This is an opportunity to express your self and your thoughts through the process of art, art is well known to be a therapeutic and mentally stimulating process.
